Setting goals for your writing career involves not just practical planning but also introspection.

PLAN-A-THON

This is our big, year-long planning event, where we set goals for the year and plan out how we’re going to achieve them. This quarterly planning event is designed to empower authors, like you, to set clear and achievable goals for your writing and publishing endeavors and to provide you with effective strategies for managing those goals throughout the year. By the end of the day, you should have a comprehensive plan to guide your writing journey.

What to expect:

Reflection: Review completed projects, milestones, and goals from the previous year. Recognize the challenges you overcame and what you learned from them. Celebrate personal and professional accomplishments and the impact they had on your life.

Goal Setting: Participants can expect guidance on setting clear and achievable goals for their creative projects. This includes both short-term and long-term goals, helping them define their creative aspirations and chart a course to reach them.

Planning Tools: Plan-a-Thon events often provide attendees with planning templates, worksheets, and resources to assist them in organizing their ideas, projects, and tasks effectively. These tools facilitate the planning process and help members stay on track.

Collaboration: Plan-a-Thon events frequently emphasize collaboration and brainstorming. Members can look forward to engaging discussions, group activities, and the opportunity to share their ideas and challenges with others.

Accountability: Accountability mechanisms are often integrated into plan-a-thon events. Participants can expect strategies and tips for staying accountable to their goals, whether through peer support, progress tracking, or setting regular check-in points.

Networking: Plan-a-Thons are excellent opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals who share similar creative interests. Members can expect to network, exchange contact information, and potentially form connections for future collaborations or support networks.

Inspiration: The atmosphere at plan-a-thons is typically charged with inspiration. Members can expect to be motivated by the collective energy and enthusiasm of fellow participants, as well as by success stories and creative achievements shared during the event.

Practical Strategies: Anticipate practical strategies and tips for overcoming creative blocks, managing time effectively, and handling challenges that may arise during the creative process.

Personalized Planning: Plan-a-thons often allow attendees to customize their planning experience. Whether they are working on writing projects, art creations, business ventures, or personal development goals, members can tailor their planning to suit their specific needs.
